Emily's mission is to empower, educate, and inspire change. Her goal is to assist clients and families in achieving balance. As a therapist, she utilizes a variety of approaches uniquely tailored for each client. Emily has said "I have a passion for working with teenagers, young adults, and their families. During times of transition, clients can receive great benefit from the logical and warm approach I provide."

For adolescents and young adults Emily has created a niche with her ability to relate to the "millennium generation." Her clients trust her, relate to her and view her as a role model. Emily provides a non-judgmental and safe environment that supports both individual and familial growth.

"I have a unique background; when speaking to young women I am seen as a mentor, I talk with them, rather than at them. They trust me and let me into their world; what it's like to be girl in today's culture. When I work with parents, educators, and other professionals I have the unique ability to provide an insider perspective: the voice of the teenager."

For parents, she is the liaison. Many confide that they want to develop a closer relationship with their child. Emily provides psycho-education and support to help increase communication and build stronger connections within the family structure. As a professional speaker and published author, Emily is passionate about empowering teenagers and educating parents. She works with a variety of populationss. Her expertise, education, and training in a variety of specialties allows Emily to help clients help themselves, and assist parents in understanding their children.

Specifically, adjustment disorders, attachment disorders, Spectrum disorders (Autism, Aspergers, PDD), young adult and family transitions, woman's issues, eating disorders, ADD/ADHD, parenting, technology related problems (compulsive texting, sexting, cyber-bullying), anxiety, and depression.

Emily has a large referral network of other professionals in health related fields which may be of assistance to particular cases. Her goal is to help each client and family achieve their health goals, and when the need arises, connect them with the best resources.
